New Malaysia RM50 Banknote!!

Malaysia National Bank on Friday announces the issuance of a new series of RM 50 banknotes into circulation to commemorate Malaysia 50th Anniversary of independence. The new RM 50 banknotes will be available for circulation on Jan. 30 next year.





Security Features

The security features incorporated in the Fourth Series of RM50 banknotes are as follows :

• The Watermark Portrait can be recognised by tints that are lighter or darker than the surrounding paper. This watermark portrait which has a three-dimensional effect appears without sharp outlines. At the base of the watermark, the numeral 50 is clearly visible.
• The Security Thread is embedded in the paper and appears on the reverse side of the note as a silver coloured dotted line. When the note is held against the light, it is seen as a continuous dark coloured line and the repeated text BNM RM50 can be read. When viewed under ultra-violet light, the thread is seen in various changing colours known as the "rainbow effect".
• Micro-Letterings of "BNM RM50" which can be viewed under a magnifying glass.
• Invisible Fluorescent Elements can be seen through various elements of the background on the obverse and reverse side of the banknote and will fluoresce in different colours when viewed under ultra-violet light.
• Perfect See-Through Register feature where the graphic songket design on the obverse side of the note will register perfectly with the same graphic songket design on the reverse side when it is held against the light.
• Multicolour Latent Image of the denomination 50 can be seen when the banknote is tilted slightly and the colour changes when it is rotated.
• Holographic Stripe features the denomination 50 and the hibiscus flower, with a multi-coloured pumping and matt-structure effect.
• Hidden image with moiré effect where certain areas of the design appearance will change when the banknote is copied.

Members of the public are advised to take note of the security features and design of the new RM50 notes outlined above. The existing series of the RM50 banknotes will continue to be legal tender.

Trump Tower and Hotel in Dubai

I’m sure you guys know the very famous businessman who has his own reality tv show called ‘The Apprentice’, Donald Trump. He never failed to suprise people around the world with his brilliant idea. Now, he went a step further which is constructing new Trump Towers and Hotel at Dubai.

There is no stopping Dubai’s frantic construction boom, and Atkins, the largest multidisciplinary consultancy in Europe, is not one to miss a part of the action. The company has recently revealed concept designs for the new Trump International Hotel and Tower, which is going to be the centrepiece of the Golden Mile residential and retail exclusive boulevard. A single glimpse leaves no doubt that the luxury building with its sharp glazed tips will set the standards for the whole area’s development.

The project is coordinated by local developers Nakheel and will be located on one of the area’s much talked-about man-made islands off the west coast of Dubai, the tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah, which aims to be one of the world’s prime resorts.

The complex itself is a breathtaking 60-storey building composed essentially of two asymmetrical halves forming a gateway to the island. The stainless steel, glass and stone façaded arch-like structure includes a 300-room five-star hotel, 400 residential apartments, boutique offices, retail, gym and spa, restaurants and of course, access to their very own private beach.

Bursa Malaysia Scholarship 2007/2008

The Bursa Malaysia Scholarship is awarded to students who manage to gain admission to public or private university pursuing a full time degree course for the 2007 intake. The scholarship scheme comes with a bonding clause whereby the applicant must be willing to work with Bursa Malaysia for a certain number of years upon the completion of their studies. While certain people are not fond of scholarship bonding clause, you should look at it from the positive ways since your employment is already secured! How lucky.

To be eligible for the scholarship award, you must be a Malaysian citizen aged 22 years and below. Your academic results, particularly in STPM and Matriculation must also be outstanding with an accumulative CGPA of 3.5 and above. Apart from good academically, you need to be active in other extra curricular and social community activities with strong leadership foundation. The application for this scholarship will end on 10 August 2007, so you have over 1 week to send in your application.

Meet the millionaire sisters

KUALA LUMPUR: The Hanif sisters work smart and pray hard – a winning formula that has enabled the girls to make their first million while still in their 20s.

Nor Akmar, 29, and Aida Nurlin, 25, from Ipoh, attribute their success to faith in God, perseverance and the “law of attraction.”

“The money is out there. We just need to find the correct way to reach it.

“Fortunately for Aida and me, we found the way in the unit trust business,” said Nor Akmar, a wealth advisor for the CIMB group.

As one of the top 10 group agency managers, Nor Akmar and her team bring in total annual sales of between RM50mil and RM100mil.

When she graduated with a first class honours in Information System Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 1999, a nine-to-five job was furthest thing from her mind.

“I wanted a career where I could be the boss of my own time and determine how much I wanted to make, to be independent, with no shackles.

“Business seemed the way out and a friend introduced me to the world of unit trusts,” said Nor Akmar, the third daughter of former Perak education deputy director Hanif Amran.

Like all concerned parents, they were not thrilled when told that their engineering graduate child wanted to be a saleswoman with no promise of a secure income.

Nothing could sway the determined girl. Nor Akmar said a prayer and plunged into the sales job without asking for any financial assistance from her parents or the Government.

In the early days, she “smiled” her way through rejections and took every “no” as a step nearer to a “yes.”

Her perseverance paid off. Soon, word got around about this young, articulate and pretty lass who was actually helping her clients make decent returns on their investments. Customers began to contact her instead of Nor Akmar pursuing them.

Within three months, Nor Akmar hit the RM1mil jackpot in sales. In 2003, at the age of 26, she became one of the youngest group agency managers.

Since then, she has been drawing a five-digit monthly income.

“I am thankful to God for this rezeki as I can provide comfortably for my parents and loved ones. I believe in the law of attraction – be good and sincere in what you do, and the returns will come back to you in manifold.

“This business is a sunrise industry. Others can also earn as much as me.

“Of some 2,000 people in my group, six have set up their own agencies with an annual sales of RM24mil each,” said Nor Akmar.

Younger sister Aida Nurlin is one of Nor Akmar’s success stories.

Aida started selling unit trusts as an undergraduate in Universiti Teknologi Mara.

Aida recalled how she would wake up at 5am and pack an extra set of clothes in her car.

At 8am, she would don on her power suit to meet clients, determined to close a sale by 10am so that she could rush to her class.

“I would dash into the ladies’ to change into my student clothes. It was really tough then because I was committed to closing a RM20,000 sale every day, and at the same time maintain my grades,” said Aida, believed to be the youngest group agency manager for the CIMB wealth creation group.

She too has been making a five-digit income since student days. She bought her first property – a studio apartment in Sri Hartamas – in 2003 while still pursuing her degree in actuarial science.

Like Nor Akmar, Aida is enjoying the fruits of her success.

Both sisters get to wear chic clothes, offer their parents a comfortable retirement and the good things in life, treat friends to meals in classy restaurants and go for overseas holidays.

Aida is convinced the unit trust sales industry could offer unemployed graduates a secure future – if only they had the passion for the product, were committed to lifelong learning and not throw in the towel when the chips are down.

They always tell their group members to care for their customers, be honest and conduct fair dealings.

The sisters go for their umrah annually for they realise the good life they now enjoy does not just fall from the sky, but is due to God’s grace.

Three UiTM Undergrads To Train At Daimler-Chrysler Plant In Stuttgart

SHAH ALAM, March 7 (Bernama) -- Three mechanical engineering undergraduates of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) will be the first group of students from the university to train with renowned auto-maker Daimler-Chrysler at its Stuttgart plant in Germany.

The three, Mohd Rahimi Yaacob, Mohd Noor Firdaus Ismail and Mohd Ridzuan Saari, who are in the final year of their degree course, will undergo the four-month practical training from this month.


UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Seri Dr Ibrahim Abu Shah said the programme was a joint effort between the university and Daimler-Chrysler (M) Sdn Bhd.

Daimler-Chrysler is a global player in the automotive industry with car makes such as Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Maybach.

At a press conference here, Ibrahim said UiTM would also be sending five students for industrial training with another German company, Thyssenkrupp Marine System AG based in Hamburg.

He said the students, who would begin their training in June, were now taking an intensive course in the German language for two months.

At the same function, Ibrahim witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoU) and a memorandum of agreement (MoA) between UiTM's Mechanical Engineering Faculty and four organisations.

They are Golden Hope Plantations Bhd, Nurivest CNC Mechanization Sdn Bhd, Shimadzu (Asia Pasific) Pte Limited and Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems AG, Germany.

Also present was German Ambassador to Malaysia, Herbert Jess.

Ibrahim said the memoranda signified the close cooperation between the faculty and industries to ensure that UiTM graduands could fulfil job market requirements.

Blogger Di Malaysia Dikuasai Wanita.

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera semua remaja Malaysia.

Merujuk kepada post terdahulu , tahukah anda jantina apakah yang mendominasi para blogger di Malaysia? Ya.. wanita (mesti tengok tajuk kat atas kan? Hu2.. ).

Semuanya terjawab apabila MSN dan Windows Live melakukan kajian melalui online menerusi laporan bertajuk ‘Blogging Malaysia: A Windows Live Report’.

Hasil kajian tersebut didapati bahawa 64% blogger di Malaysia adalah wanita dan selebihnya iaitu 36% dikuasai lelaki. Hemm.. agak memeranjatkan saya kerana ingatkan kaum Adam yang mendominasi .

Faktor-faktor.

Antaranya kerana wanita mempunyai lebih banyak banyak masa untuk menulis dan membaca blog. Bukan kerana mereka tidak mempunyai pekerjaan lain, tetapi kerana sifat dalaman wanita yang sukakan perkara-perkara yang melibatkan emosi (apa ingat lelaki tak ada emosi ke? Ada tau ).

Berbanding lelaki, mereka menganggap blogging bukanlah sesuatu yang begitu penting berbanding perkara lain dalam kehidupan.

Usia.

Kebanyakkan blogger di Malaysia adalah berumur 25 tahun ke bawah (75%), diikuti 25 sehingga 34 tahun (21%).

Prilaku.

Hampir 50% blogger di Malaysia gemar menulis tentang buah fikiran dan pandangan mengenai perkara yang berlaku disekeliling. 3% merasakan yang mereka menulis blog untuk bertindak sebagai wartawan masyarakat dengan memberi komen, kritikan, dan melaporkan apa yang mereka lihat. Selebihnya pula sekadar inginkan rungan peribadi di alam siber.

Maka tidak hairanlah sekiranya blog kini dipandang sebagai cara utama bagi individu untuk meluahkan ekspresi diri. Dalam erti kata lain (seperti nenek saya cakap gak) sebagai ‘cara moden’ untuk sentiasa berhubung dengan masyarakat sekeliling tanpa menggunakan cara tradisional seperti menulis surat, risalah, dan seumpamanya.

Blog Yang Disukai.

Majoriti responden iaitu sebanyak 81% memberi maklumbalas bahawa blog oleh individu terapat sering dikunjungi. Ini diikuti blog yang ditulis oleh pelakon (34%), artis dan ahli muzik (33%), dan rakan sekerja (31%). Blog daripada ahli-ahli perniagaan dan ahli politik merupakan blog yang paling sedikit dikunjungi di Malaysia.

Blog yang membosankan pula adalah sebab utama ia tidak akan dikunjungi lagi menurut lebih 50% responden .

Topik.

Menyentuh mengenai topik yang menjadi perbincangan blogger di Malaysia lazimnya adalah teknologi, pelancongan, dan muzik. Malah topik-topik ini juga merupakan blog yang sering dibaca di seluruh Asia (hemm.. motivasi tak ada ke ek? ).

Selain berkongsi pendapat tentang topik yang diminati, blog juga dijadikan medan oleh blogger untuk mendedahkan penemuan, produk serta teknologi terkini.

Pengiklanan.

Perkara ini sekali gus membuka mata pengiklan-pengiklan seluruh dunia untuk menggunakan blog bagi memasarkan produk mereka.

Kesimpulannya:

Melihat kepada kepesatan yang melanda dunia blog, iaitu sebanyak 41% individu daripada keseluruhan yang melayari internet di Malaysia, secara aktif melibatkan diri dengan blog, pastinya pengiklanan akan merancakkan kemunculan blogger-blogger baru.

It’s been three years now since Rafidah came back from London where she graduated with a Distinction from her Masters in Scriptwriting course. Since then Rafidah has written her first movie, the critically acclaimed Gol & Gincu, which also sees her big-screen debut as an actress. The movie spawned a TV series and Rafidah has been kept busy as the head writer for the show, as well as one of the main cast members. In between Gol & Gincu and 3R, she has found time to play a cameo role in the upcoming movie Susuk, and she also shares the Freespace column with other young writers in The Sun newspaper. Currently Rafidah is conceptualizing a new series as well as working on screenplays for future films. In her personal time, Rafidah plays futsal once a week and she also enjoys cuddling her cats Mocha and Pekoe.

1. Jari yg gemok di pangkal dan runcing di hujung menunjukan wanita bertubuh "A" dada kecil ponggong n betis besar.. dan boleh jadi gemok bila dapat beberapa org anak jika tak dijaga dgn elok. Payah nak kurus tau..

2. Jari yg sama besar dari pangkal hingga ke hujung.. tubuh ngam-ngam soi.. balance from top to bottom.. klu gemok pun mudah nak kurus balik.. Gemok kerana tulang rangka yg besar.

3. Jari yg nampak sama besar tetapi kecil sikit di pangkal.. bermakna ponggong dia kecil sikit dari saiz dada.. kira cam type "A" tetapi terbalik aje.

“Formula pemakanan genius-genius Islam silam yang
menjadi rahsia keajaiban daya intelek mereka. Formula
ini terpendam di dalam kitab-kitab tradisional dalam
bahasa Arab. Tersembunyi dari pengetahuan orang Arab
dan umat Islam sendiri. Namun akhir-akhir ini ada
usaha-usaha untuk mengetengahkan kembali kepada umum.
Sekarang semacam ada kecenderungan di kalangan ilmuan
Islam dan bukan Islam untuk mengkaji dan menguji
keabsahan formula ini.

Ini didorong oleh penemuan - penemuan saintifik yang
membuktikan kebenarannya, khususnya terhadap susu,
madu dan telur. Berikut adalah formula pemakanan
genius - genius Islam yang telah terbukti berupaya
meningkatkan kepintaran dan kekuatan daya ingatan :

1) MADU
Madu adalah makanan yang sangat berkhasiat. Al-Quran
mengiktirafkannya sebagai “shifa’” iaitu penyembuh
penyakit. Manisan madu digelar “Raja Ubat”, dapat
menyembuh kebanyakkan penyakit. Ia adalah makanan
untuk kesihatan keseluruhannya. Ia mengandungi
pelbagai jenis vitamin, mineral, protein, antiseptik
dan enzim yang meningkatkan ingatan dan kecerdasan
mental individu. Madu juga mengandungi pelbagai zat
galian yang penting seperti kalsium, sulfur, fosforus,
zat besi, karbon, magnesium, potassium (kalium),
kuprum, silika, klorin, mangganese dan belerang untuk
memupuk tenaga dan kesihatan fizikal-mental.
Rasullullah s.a.w bersabda, “Siapa ingin hafal,
hendaklah ia minum manisan madu”. Madu didapati
berkesan untuk merawati penyakit - penyakit mental di
mana ia boleh menghindarkan kepenatan kerja otak
seperti berfikir, membaca, merancang dan bermesyuarat.

CARA MINUM : 2 sudu teh pada waktu pagi dan malam.
PANTANG : Jangan makan tembikai semasa menggunakan
madu. Sangat merbahaya !

2) KISMIS
Mengandungi zat besi yang amat diperlukan untuk
membina darah bagi memastikan bekalan oksigen yang
mencukupi untuk disalurkan ke otak. Kekurangan oksigen
menyebabkan seseorang mudah mengantuk, pelupa, lembab
dan mengalami kelemahan dalam berfikir.

CARA MAKAN :
i)Menghadap Kiblat
ii)Baca “Bismillah” dan selawat ke atas nabi (3 kali)
iii)Baca doa penerang hati
iv)Makan secara kemam seperti makan gula-gula. Tidak
berkesan jika dikunyah seperti makan kacang.
v)Makan sebiji-biji sebanyak 21 biji setiap hari.

3) SUSU SEGAR
Susu berguna untk kesihatan otak, mempertajamkan
ingatan, membekalkan tenaga mental dan fizikal. Susu
mengandungi tiga unsur semulajadi iaitu keju, lemak
dan air yang amat diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan badan
dan otak. Susu adalah makanan yang paling lengkap dan
berkhasiat. Ia mengandungi enam kelas makanan yang
amat diperlukan oleh tubuh iaitu karbohidrat, lemak,
protein, semua jenis vitamin, mineral dan air. Ia
berkhasiat untuk merawati kesihatan umum dan merupakan
penawar kelupaan yang berkesan. Rasullullah s.a.w
menerangkan susu boleh menguatkan belakang, menambahi
akal, memperbaiki penglihatan dan menghindari penyakit
lupa. Susu yang terbaik untuk ketajaman minda ialah
susu kambing, biri - biri dan lembu yang segar. Susu
hidup lebih berkhasiat dari susu debu.

CARA MINUM :
i)Sekurang-kurangnya segelas pada sebelah pagi dan
malam
ii)Baca “Bismillah” dan doa minum susu seperti yang
dibaca oleh Rasullullah s.a.w

4) TELUR
Bermanfaat untuk menambah kekuatan otak, badan dan
menjaga kesihatan keseluruhannya. Ahli - ahli
kesihatan mengakui ia merupakan makanan yang lengkap
dan berkhasiat. Ia mengandungi protein, mineral,
vitamin, kalsium, kuprum, magnesium, fosforus, kalium,
sulfur, natrium, klorin, zat besi, air, choline dan
bahan ekstraktif. Sabda Nabi s.a.w, “Sesungguhnya
seorang nabi a.s mengadu kepada Allah (kerana
dia)lemah badan. Maka Allah s.w.t memerintahkannya
supaya memakan telur”. Telur terutama telur kuning,
berupaya mengatasi masalah kelemahan tenaga fizikal
dan minda sekaligus. Telur yang terbaik ialah telur
ayam kampung dan yang masih baru.

5) HALIA
Ianya sangat mujarab untuk gejala kelupaan. Ia boleh
dimakan mentah atau dibuat halua. Halua ialah halia
yang dijadikan manis - manisan dengan merebus dan
mencampurkannya dengan gula.

CARA MAKAN : Dimakan sedikit sahaja pada waktu pagi.

6) LIMAU OREN
Berkhasiat untuk mengemaskan urat-urat jantung dan
menambah kekuatan fikiran menurut hadis Nabi s.a.w.
Limau - limau jenis lain juga elok untuk diamalkan.

7) BUAH DELIMA
Untuk penerang hati. Sabda Nabi s.a.w, “Barangsiapa
yang memakan buah delima keseluruhannya, sesungguhnya
Allah menerangkan hatinya selama 40 hari.”

8) DAGING BURUNG MERPATI
Ianya banyak digunakan oleh bijak pandai Islam dan
Melayu dahulukala. Ia mengandungi protein, lemak,
kalsium, fosforus dan kalori. Sangat efektif untuk
meningkatkan kecerdasan terutama kanak - kanak. Kaedah
ini sangat popular dan berkesan. Kanak - kanak yang
diberi telur burung merpati didapati dapat bercakap
lebih awal dari kebiasaannya.

9) OTAK AYAM
Boleh dibuat sup dan dicampur dengan halia. Otak ayam
yang segar juga boleh dibuat penawar sementara bagi
gigitan ular. Perlu diamalkan memakannya.

10) DAGING AYAM
Berbanding dengan semua jenis daging, ayam dianggap
mengandungi kadar zat pemakanan yang paling tinggi.
Daging ayam betina dara terutamanya berkhasiat
meningkatkan prestasi otak dan membaiki darah. Abu
Musa r.a meriawayatkan bahawa Nabi s.a.w memakan
daging ayam betina.

11) DAGING BIRI-BIRI
Menambah darah, sesuai untuk orang aktif dan bekerja
berat serta dapat meningkatkan kekuatan hafazan.

12) HATI
Terutamanya hati ayam dan lembu. Mengandungi pelbagai
jenis vitamin dan bermanfaat untuk kesihatan mental
dan fizikal.

13) KEKACANG
Beberapa jenis kacang seperti gajus, berangan, kacang
soya, pistachio dan lain-lain. Kacang pistachio
dipercayai sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan
kecerdasan terutamanya kanak-kanak. Memakan kacang
pistachio merupakan amalan pemakanan seorang pelajar
genius berbangsa Melayu yang tinggal di Melaka.
Kekacang mengandungi nilai protein yang tinggi.

14) BUAH BADAM
Untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan.

15) ZA’FARAN : KOMKOMA (CROCOS SATIVUS)
Sejenis bahan berambu merah. Dimakan sedikit sahaja.
Dijual di kedai-kedai runcit India dan sesetengah
kedai runcit Melayu.

16) KEMENYAN PUTIH (kemenyan serani/luban/kundar)
Ditumbuk halus-halus dan dimakan dengan gula.

17) BUNGA KOBIS
Terdapat sejenis asid amino untuk tenaga mental.

18) BUNGA CENGKEH
Ditumbuk sehingga halus lalu diamakn sedikit sahaja.

19) LABU
Berfaedah menambahkan keupayaan fikiran dan akal.
Sabda Nabi s.a.w., “Makanlah labu kerana ia
mencerdaskan akal”. Baginda juga berkata, “Jika kamu
membuat sup (atau kuah), dianjurkan memasukkan labu ke
dalamnya kerana ia menambahkan kemampuan fikiran dan
akal.

20) BUAH KEDEKAI (MAJALAWI)
Menguatkan hafalan dan menguatkan kekuatan badan.

21) MINYAK SAPI
Dimakan terus atau dicampurkan dengan masakan dalam
kuantiti yang kecil.

22) SAYUR-SAYURAN DAN BAUH-BUAHAN SEGAR
Juga membantu meningkatkan akal dan memori
